| | it was a solid album. production was dencet even though i felt it got stale at times & he had some pretty good verses. i think the album was good but in my opinion drake doesn't have a classic, revolutionary, groundbreaking album under his belt. jay-z has Reasonable doubt, vol 2, blueprint, black album. nas has it was written, illmatic, stillmatic, lost tapes. eminem has MMLP. 50 cent has GRDT. Snoop has doggy style. i could go on and on but what my point is is that the person that everyone considers to be the best rapper in the game should have classics and to me as talented as drake is he just doesn't fall under that category. hell, i dont even know if drake can top his mentors best albums which were tha carter & the carter 2. as far as predicting how many albums he'll sell i think thats corny. who cares how many records he sells. illmatic & reasonable doubt are arguably the two best hiphop albums ever & neither sold all that many copies, meanwhile vanilla ice & mc hammer have 2 of the highest selling albums ever. i could care less how many units he moves. im more interested in the quality of the music |
